WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF 100 WOMEN WHO CARE?

100 Women Who Care was started in November of 2006 by Karen Dunigan of Jackson, Michigan as a simple way to raise money efficiently and quickly for local charities.  At their first one-hour meeting, the group of over 100 women each wrote a check for $100 directly to The Center For Family Health, their chosen local charity, raising $12,800 to buy 300 new baby cribs.  Since then, 100 Who Care Giving Circles have not only formed throughout the country but it is now international! The Alliance for 100 Who Care includes 9 different countries! Currently, there are 650 active local Giving Circles of Women, Men and also Kids through the world with 250 in the works! Amazing helping power!

OUR MEDINAH GIVING CIRCLE

Our Medinah Chapter began in June 2016.  Peggi D'Angelo was a member of the Naperville 100 WWC Chapter and decided to begin a group at Medinah Country Club.  Along with Linda Colander and Peggy Horvath, the Medinah Chapter began with a total of 30 women. We made our first donation of $3,000 to our nominated charity.  We’ve reached our goal of having 100 women in our group in October 2021!!

Linda Colander is still an active member but has moved away, so Debbie Stringfellow is now on board!!
